2014 - 2015 Playoff Predictions
We're back!
After a long off-season, the NFL season is finally here and with it comes a new edition of the "never too early to predict the playoffs" playoff predictions:
We expect the 2014-2015 playoff picture to resemble the 2013-2014 one quite closely, especially in the AFC.
In the AFC we like a healthy, extremely well rounded Patriots team to go to the Super Bowl. We also think the Chargers will make a big jump and become a contender, upsetting the Broncos in Denver. We expect Peyton Manning and the Broncos to be extremely successful in the regular season, but struggle in the post season when the weather is poor and the stakes are high.
In the NFC we like the Saints to come out of an extremely talented gauntlet of teams. We think year two of the Rob Ryan defense will give the Saints' premier offense a championship worthy counterpart on the other side of the ball. We also like the Eagles to make a huge jump as Chip Kelly proves to be more a vanguard than a novelty. The biggest surprise in the NFC playoff bracket will be the absence of the 49ers. The 49ers defense was diminished by free-agency and demolished by injuries (/ suspensions). With out key starters from a year ago for at least the first half of the season, we think the 49ers will fall into a win loss hole that is too deep to climb out of.
We look forward to watching these predictions unfold in what is sure to be another great year!
